Our goal is to consistently expand the number of women enrolled in our program to other areas in Sierra Leone.

By empowering a woman, we are ultimately empowering their entire family; there becomes an opportunity for children to attend school, ability to put food on the table and to provide a home to return to every night.

Our first group in Lunsar, Sierra Leone is now on their way to becoming independent providers and in control of their first business.

They are grouped into teams of five, and network and advise each other, gaining personal strength and self-esteem. Their businesses include farming, retail and sewing.

Without a doubt the initial donation has made a vast difference to our first group of 35 participants, and with continued support, we hope to reach 100 in Sierra Leone by the end of 2012.

Our goal is to consistently expand the number of women enrolled in this program to other areas in Sierra Leone. In addition, we look forward to networking with a women’s enterprise program in the Congo, and our current program in Nigeria.
