Our Mission:

ACTION AFRICA is an energetic non-profit response by Africans and friends of Africa to the challenges facing children and families in rural villages of sub-Saharan Africa in the vital areas of health, education, economic generativity, and human rights.

Children are the heart of village life. By surrounding them with the support they need, our programs set them on the path of economic independence and stabilize the village.

In the face of new-age viruses like HIV/AIDS and old time killers like hunger and malaria, realism is essential, practicality a necessity, and partners indispensable. Action Africa focuses on incremental, sustainable change, one community at a time, guided by the knowledge of those who live there, with the encouragement and support of our friends.

Launched at the grassroots level, our action is holistic in nature, incorporates HIV/AIDS prevention education throughout, derives its strength from collaboration, and promotes dignity, self-determination, and justice.
